Going through Katie’s intuitive eating program was such a game changer for me. I had been familiar with intuitive eating for some time and had even tried the program on my own a year prior but was unsuccessful (I later learned I had put conditions on my unconditional permission to eat). I finally decided to reach out to someone and am so glad I found Katie. She really helped me make some small behavioral changes that have had a huge impact as well as helping me reframe my negative thoughts as I work to unlearn diet culture we’ve all been fed for too long. She also helped me recognize my progress when I was being too hard on myself for not doing enough. I love that she had a structure to her program because for someone who was so lost in the beginning I would not have even been able to identify my issues. But on days when I had something specific to discuss she was flexible to listen and always helped me through my questions. I’ve carried such shame around food and my body for so long but her calming, judgement free presence really allowed me to be vulnerable and get as much out of our time together as I could. It’s been a month or so since my program ended with her and while I named my diet brain Judy during our time together, it’s Katie that has stayed in my mind when I catch myself in thoughts of what I shouldn’t be doing…asking why and what’s so wrong with what I’m doing. It was such a joy to work with her but she also laid a great foundation where I’ve been able to see improvements continuing after our time together. Change is slow but undoing 35 years of diet brain takes time and my work with her has helped me be okay with where I am at which has had an immensely positive effect on my life.

Working with Katie has truly changed my life. She has taught me so much about nutrition, maintaining balance, body image, and most of all just how strong of a woman I am. I went to Katie looking to understand how food even works and how I could love myself once again, and she has definitely improved both of those things for me! I know so much more about food now than I ever have and it has shown me that I never need to restrict "bad foods," as Katie always tells me "it's all about balance and not perfection!" I am a college student, so eating and body image were hard for me to grasp when I always felt so ashamed of my body. Katie has shown me, and I actually believe it, that I am beautiful and that being healthy has many different shapes and sizes.
Katie was also very affordable for all of the information and coaching that she provides. I utilized her payment plan and it made it super nice and easy for me to pay month by month!

Through the program, I was able to get back to listening to my body and what it needs, eating mindfully and enjoying life again. I came to Katie because, after decades of dieting and negative self talk, I wanted to break these habits. I have weight cycled from going on and off diets for decades now and it was affecting my mental and physical health. To be at peace with my body, with food and with physical movement is life changing.

I have spent more than two decades hating my body, bingeing, dieting, restricting food and feeling so much shame around exercise, food and connecting it to my self-worth. Undoing the beliefs that come from diet culture, that are so deeply ingrained in our society is hard work. But it's worth it. After years of digestive issues following cancer diagnoses, I was feeling very bloated and anxious with little confidence in myself. I saw my health going down a road that I was not fond of, but no matter how hard I tried, I could not get myself back on track.

I can feel that my body has already begun the healing process by what Katie has put in place for me. My bloating is minimal, my digestive system is improving. Though I know that I have a long way to go in my journey, I also know that I have a team member and coach in Katie.
